1. Safety as Our Primary Operational Principle
Expedition travel across Australia's extraordinary landscapes—from coastal national parks to remote outback red sands—requires rigorous health and safety standards. Our Guest Safety Charter outlines our duty of care, medical preparedness, and accessibility commitments.
2. Standard Physical Pacing Ratings
Every itinerary is classified with a certified pacing tier to help guests select journeys aligned with their fitness levels:
- Relaxed (Level 1): Unhurried scenic drives, level boardwalk strolls (up to 1.5 km daily), frequent rest intervals, and fully air-conditioned boutique coach travel. Suitable for virtually all active 40+ travellers.
- Moderate (Level 2): Walking up to 3–5 km daily over uneven natural trails, occasional unpaved terrain, gentle inclines, and boarding small marine vessels or catamarans.
- Active Discovery (Level 3): Trail walking up to 6–8 km over rocky gorge paths, moderate elevation changes, heat exposure in tropical north regions, and stepping in/out of safari Zodiac crafts.
3. Remote Emergency Telemetry & Medical Air Evacuation
All escorted departures operating beyond urban regional centers carry:
- Dual-channel Starlink Satellite Communication Units for 24/7 high-bandwidth voice and telemetry connection anywhere in continental Australia.
- Automated External Defibrillators (AED), advanced trauma first-aid kits, and anaphylaxis emergency supplies.
- Direct coordination contracts with the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) and State Aeromedical Evacuation networks.
4. Accessibility & Special Assistance
We welcome guests with diverse accessibility requirements. While remote outback terrain may present structural barriers, our boutique private touring fleet and custom journeys can be tailored with accessible vehicle lifters, ground-floor luxury lodge suites, and dedicated concierge attendants.
